Austria’s flagship grape, and certainly one of the wine world’s most versatile food wines! Gruner Veltliner is refreshing & light, just like Sauvignon Blancs & Pinot Grigios, w/ plenty of vibrant citrus and minerality in character. However, its most unique trait is its plethora of peppery, legumey flavors such as watercress, arugula, tarragon, white pepper, and even wasabi. With all of this in mind, practically any combination of lighter proteins (seafood, chicken, or pork) & vegetables make a wonderful partner to this wine – yes that includes Turkey so long as there isnt ample gravy or cranberry sauce to overtake the wine’s delicacy.
