Description
From the fiercely terroir driven, Austrian benchmark producer Brundlmayer – Ried Heiligenstein sources from the coveted Zobinger Heiligenstein vineyard, which is composed of 250 million-year-old sandstone. Consequently this bottle contains some serious mineral driven character (think crushed stone, chalk, and even fleur de sel), upon an already gorgeous, elegant expression of Riesling – orange peels, lime, candle wax, petrol, and smoke all harmoniously bundled together. Brundlmeyer is the epitome both class and terroir, so its a treat to dissect all on its own, but pairings w/ Bratwurst, Pad Thai, Tikka Masala, Paella, and even Kung Pao chicken are absolute home-runs (its bright-eyed exuberance is the perfect match to exotic spices)! -EF
