Carpineto takes its name from the Greek – Carpos, meaning fruit. The name Dogajolo was invented by Carpineto’s founders, derived from the Italian word doga, meaning “stave” – the narrow strips of wood used to form oak casks. 70% Sangiovese, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, The aromas are fruity with hints of cherry, coffee, vanilla and spice. On the palate it’s soft cherry and red fruits.
