Description
From Piemonte traditionalist Anna Maria Abbona, known primarily for her production of the Dolcetto varietal – Nebbiolo grown at higher altitudes (400-500m above sea level) on the calcareous soils of the Monforte D’Alba commune. Bricco San Pietro paints Nebbiolo in its most brooding, classical iteration – sweet red cherries, tobacco, roses, tar, and, of course, a hauntingly tannic palate that resides long after your sip. Although showing beautifully right now, especially when paired w/ lamb or wild game, this is certainly a wine that can be easily aged for a decade further.
